The ICHWC is led by a volunteer board of directors supported by a council of advisors. The National Board for Certifying Health and Wellness Coaches comprises three ICHWC board members and three NBME leaders, supported by the boards of ICHWC and NBME.

Agata Butler, PhD, National Board of Medical ExaminersDr. Agata Butler is the Vice President for Domestic Programs at the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME®).  Dr. Butler is the primary contact and oversees the portfolio of domestic programs that the NBME serves in the assessment needs to prepare students and health professionals to practice in North America.   Dr. Butler has worked for more than 25 years with testing programs in the medical profession and has extensive experience providing testing, educational, and consultative services to educational institutions and to medical and health science agencies.

Lypson, MD, MHPE, University of Michigan Medical School, VA Ann Arbor Healthcare SystemDr. Lypson is a professor of Internal Medicine and Learning Health Sciences, at the University of Michigan Medical School, as well Associate Chief of Staff for Education at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System. Dr. Lypson’s research interests include resident assessment, historical and contemporary trends in medical education, academic leadership and the under representation of minorities in academic medicine. Several of her invited presentations and papers have focused on clinical performance assessment of medical students and residents and on faculty development on issues of diversity and narrative assessment.

He has previously held senior assessment positions with McGraw Hill Education/CTB, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Educational Testing Service. Craig is internationally known as an innovator and futurist in the assessment industry.

Margaret Moore/Coach Meg, MBA, a 17-year veteran of the biotechnology industry, founded Wellcoaches Corporation in 2000, a strategic partner of the ACSM, which has trained more than 10,000 health professionals as coaches in 50 countries. Margaret is co-founder and co-director of the Institute of Coaching at McLean Hospital, co-director of the annual Coaching in Leadership & Healthcare conference offered by Harvard Medical School, and teaches coaching psychology at Harvard University Extension School. She is co-author of the Coaching Psychology Manual published by Wolters Kluwer and Harvard Health Books Organize Your Mind, Organize Your Life and Organize Your Emotions, Optimize Your Life.

Cindy Schultz, MA, LP, University of Minnesota Center for Spirituality and HealingCindy Schultz is a practicing holistic psychologist and health coach with more than 20 years of experience, helping people to connect with their passions, explore their deepest fears, and to find their own paths to healing.  In addition to health coaching, she has a private practice that provides executive coaching and organizational consulting in the Twin Cities area. She is a faculty member of the University of Minnesota’s Center for Spirituality and Healing’s Health and Wellbeing degree program and is passionate about assisting students to develop their coaching skills and unique coaching styles. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology and is a licensed psychologist.

Wolever, PhD is the Director of Vanderbilt Health Coaching: Research, Practice & Education through the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine. Ruth is also an Associate Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with a secondary appointment in Psychiatry at Vanderbilt School of Medicine. She is a clinical health psychologist with 22 years of experience designing, implementing, and evaluating behavior change programs for medical patients and those at risk for chronic disease.
